Barbell Bench Press

The bar bell bench press is the staple chest exercise for anyone seeking to build chest size and strength. Since it primarily targets the chest, triceps and shoulders, it is an essential exercise for those with Pectus Excavatum, as it helps to pull the chest into a more appealing shape and mask the condition by adding size and shape to the chest.

Lie supine on bench. Dismount barbell from rack over upper chest using wide oblique overhand grip.

Lower weight to mid-chest. Press bar upward until arms are extended. Repeat.

Range of motion will be compromised if grip is too wide.
